I decided to do something a little bit special with Galen. A trip to the fish pond. Which is actually bigger than a typical pond, but I don’t want to call it a lake (as everyone else does) because it’s still more pond than lake. We visited here when we were still looking at houses, and the pond was one of the selling features of Sierramas for us. But we hadn’t been back since that first time.
Galen and I strolled around the pond, stopping every few metres to look at a leaf or an ant or a grain of sand, or another leaf. It took us about an hour to walk about 500 metres. It was fun for us both.
Here Galen thinks it’s hilarious to eat the stale bread that was meant for the fish and turtles.
Next time I might even clean breakfast off his face before we go out somewhere…
