The Year of the Dragon

It happened over a week ago: the Year of the Rabbit is over and it’s now the Year of the Dragon. I don’t know what that means – I pay as much attention to the Chinese zodiac as I do the Western one (I don’t even know what star sign Arlo is!). The only thing good to come from Chinese New Year’s Eve are the fireworks. Not the noise, just the light. The noise is pretty annoying when it goes on and on, day and night, for a week. It’s also annoying when you need all manner of goods and services and everything is shut for the week. Still, at least it’s easy to cross the street…
