Early January

Before all the excitement of Galen’s arrival, we had a little bit of excitement here. First was snow – some at the end of December hung around for almost a week. Then once that melted, we got more. Never enough to do much with, but enough to look pretty.



And because it was snowy, we felt able to put my Christmas present to use – cheese fondue!! Though we still need to source some metholated spirits to use in the burner, so we’re using tea lights until then.

Then we had some more Christmas presents arrive in the New Year (thank you friends and family).



Despite the look, Arlo is happy with her (third) pair of slippers. Hopefully they’ll fit her another winter after this one, but if not, we now have someone to hand them down to…!
